China’s importance in additive manufacturing has increased significantly in recent years. Both equipment manufacturers and material producers from the People’s Republic are increasingly entering the international market. One joint webinar by 3Dzyk and 3Druck.com picks up on this development and brings together representatives from several Chinese companies for a panel discussion.

The event is entitled „China AM Rising: Innovation, Scale, and the Future of Additive manufacturing“ and is aimed at an international audience of industry professionals, investors and end users. The aim is to provide an insight into the breadth and technical depth of the Chinese additive manufacturing ecosystem. The discussion will cover different perspectives, from mechanical engineering to material development and from plastics to metal processing.
Three companies have been announced as discussion partners. Uniontech is one of the established Chinese providers in the field of SLA and SLM and thus addresses both photopolymer and metal applications. VMP is internationally positioned as a manufacturer of metal powders and covers a central section of the value chain for metal-based processes. ESun is one of the brands with the widest reach for FFF-filaments on platforms such as Amazon and Shopee.
The panel will be divided into several thematic blocks. It will cover the company history of the participants, the respective market entry in Europe and questions regarding standardization in additive manufacturing. The panel will also discuss what a mass market for AM technologies could look like and what role Chinese manufacturers could play in this.
The webinar will take place on April 29 at 3 p.m. Beijing and Singapore time. via Google Meet. The event will be held in English. The event is aimed at experts from the AM sector, media representatives, investors and industrial users who want to get an up-to-date picture of the status and ambitions of Chinese players in additive manufacturing. The combination of photopolymer, metal and plastics segments offers a broad cross-section of the technologies represented there.
